Replacing Tubing and General Maintenance

Step 1: Prepare for Maintenance

Before starting, wear safety glasses and gloves. You will also need a degreaser, rag, scrub sponge, silicone oil lubricant, high temp grease, and a brush. Make sure to relieve pressure in the discharge side of the tubing before performing any maintenance.

Step 2: Remove Pump Head Cover

Remove the seven thumb screws from the pump head cover by hand, and then remove the pump head cover.

Step 3: Remove Rollers and Tubing

Unlock the spider ring and power on the pump. Run the pump until one of the rollers is in the 9 o'clock position and stop the pump. Remove that roller and repeat this process for the remaining three rollers. Next, remove the rotor body, shaft extension, rear spacer, and tubing.

Step 4: Clean Pump Components

Clean the arm rollers, rotor body, and interior of the pump head using a degreaser, rag, and scrub sponge. Verify that each roller is free spinning. Apply silicone oil lubricant to the end of the rollers and wipe away any excess oil. Apply high temp grease to the shaft with a brush.

Step 5: Reassemble Pump

Insert the rear spacer onto the shaft. Reinstall the shaft extension, rotor body, and tubing. Run the pump until the roller slot is in the 9 o'clock position and stop the pump. Install roller A and repeat this process for the remaining rollers. Lock the spider ring and install the pump head cover. Fasten the seven thumb screws by hand.

✅ After completing these steps, your Blue-White A4/M4 Peristaltic Metering Pump is ready for operation. Regular maintenance will extend the tube life and reduce maintenance costs.
