Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Prepare for Maintenance

Before starting, wear safety glasses and gloves. Ensure that the pressure is relieved in the discharge side of the tubing.

Step 2: Remove the Pump Head Cover

Remove the four thumb screws on the pump head cover by hand and then remove the cover itself.

Step 3: Remove the Tubing

Power on the pump and, while the pump head is rotating, gently remove the bottom adapter. Follow the pump head's rotation while gently pulling the rest of the tubing out. Stop the pump.

Step 4: Disassemble and Clean the Pump

Remove the roller assembly and rear spacer. Clean the roller assembly, pump head interior, and motor shaft using a degreaser and rag. Use a scrub sponge to remove tough buildup. Make sure to clean the TFD sensor pins as well.

Step 5: Lubricate and Reassemble the Pump

Apply silicone oil lubricant to the rollers and high temp grease to the motor shaft. Reinstall the rear spacer and roller assembly into the pump head.

Step 6: Install the New Tubing

Run the pump and insert the tube adapter in the bottom slot of the pump head. Carefully follow the roller's motion while inserting the new tubing. Insert the top adapter into the top slot of the pump head and stop the pump.

Step 7: Reattach the Pump Head Cover

Reinstall the pump head cover and fasten the four thumb screws by hand.

Step 8: Reset the Pump Settings

The pump screen will display a message asking if you performed a tube replacement. Select "yes" if this is a new tube. Verify the tubing information and select "save." Your pump is now ready to use.

✅ By following this guide, you have successfully replaced the tubing for your A3/M3 Peristaltic Metering Pump and performed general maintenance to keep your pump running optimally. Remember to clean the pump head and roller assembly every time you replace the tubing. Proper maintenance will extend the tube life and reduce maintenance costs.
