Programming the Remote Start-Stop

Step 1: Access the Menu

Press the menu button on your Blue-White metering pump.

Step 2: Navigate to Input Setup

Using the down button, navigate to 'Input Setup' and press the enter button.

Step 3: Select Contact Input

Scroll down to 'Contact Input' and press enter.

Step 4: Choose Contact State

Select 'Open to Stop the Pump' if you want the pump to stop when the contact is open. Alternatively, select 'Closed to Stop the Pump' if you want the pump to stop when the contact is closed. Press enter to confirm your selection.

Step 5: Set Delay Timer

The system will prompt you for a delay timer. Leave this value at zero unless you have a specific reason to change it. Press enter to confirm.

Step 6: Return to Main Screen

Scroll down to the bottom of the menu and select 'Done', then 'Escape' to return to the main screen.

Step 7: Enable Remote Start-Stop Mode

Press the play or start button to put the pump into standby mode. This enables the pump to accept the start-stop signal.

Step 8: Energize the Contact

Energize the contact to activate the pump. In this demonstration, a switch is used to close the contact, causing the pump to begin operation.

Testing the Remote Start-Stop

Step 9: Test the System

Once you've programmed the remote start-stop, it's time to test it. Close the contact using the switch to activate the pump. The pump should now go to a green running state and begin circulating.

If the system is not behaving as expected, you may need to review the programming steps and ensure each setting is correct.

✅ The remote start-stop feature on the Blue-White M3, M4, MD3, AA3, A4, and CD3 metering pumps is a useful tool for managing your pump's operation. This guide has provided a step-by-step walkthrough of how to program this feature.
