DICE™ DS/DM Modules Overview
Section 1: DICE™ Configurations
Section 1: DICE™ Configurations
There are two DICE™ configurations, DS model for suction lift applications and DM model for flooded suction applications.
Section 2: Design and Functionality
Section 2: Design and Functionality
DICE™ DS/DM features a vertical fluid path that allows gases to escape easily, avoiding issues related to trapped gas in dosing systems. The minimal pressurized volume makes it extremely fast for the pump to pressurize or repressurize the system.
Section 3: Integrated Components
Section 3: Integrated Components
DICE™ DS/DM is a compact solution that integrates all necessary components of a chemical dosing system within a single module, installed at the dosing pump discharge. It includes back pressure valve, pressure relief valve, pressure indicator with an isolator, and three ball valves. The side ports can be used for secondary pumps or additional accessories such as a pulsation dampener, pressure transmitter, etc.
DICE™ DS/DM Modules Operation
Section 4: Normal Operation
Section 4: Normal Operation
During normal operation, the dosing pump pumps chemicals from the chemical tank into the DICE™ inlet, then through the back pressure valve and into the injection line feeding the process. The pressure indicator measures the back pressure valve setpoint.
Section 5: Troubleshooting
Section 5: Troubleshooting
In case of blocked pipe, blocked injection coil, or a closed isolation valve, the pressure relief valve will open and cycle back the excess fluid into the chemical tank or directly to the pump suction. This prevents the system from over-pressurizing, and the pressure indicator measures the pressure relief valve setpoint.
✅ Understanding the unique features and operation of the DICE™ DS/DM Chemical Dosing Modules can significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of your chemical dosing system.
