Precipitate

A deposit on the earth of hail, rain, mist, sleet, or snow. The common process by which atmospheric water becomes surface or subsurface water, the term precipitation is also commonly used to designate the quantity of water precipitated.

A solid substance that can be dissolved, but is separated from solution because of a chemical reaction or change in conditions such as pH or temperature.
